Ben Thomas started working in construction in 1979. His father Larry Thomas owned and operated the Thomas Company in Durham N.C.
It is here where Ben Thomas fell in love with the process of constructing fine homes. In 1986 Ben Thomas started a full time framing company with as many as 65 men framing custom homes, town homes and commercial buildings for so many great builders in the area.
Ben Thomas opened Dimension Builders, Inc. in the early 1990’s to concentrate on land development and custom homes. Building custom homes in Colony Woods and Silvercreek in Chapel Hill. Loch’nora and Marydell Estates in Durham. Developing with his father Carpenter Point, Green Gardens, Hope Valley Downs in Durham. Peppertree in Chatham County.
In 2004 Ben opened DSM Builders, Inc. a tribute to his wife and two girls: Danielle, Samantha, Madison.
DSM Builders, Inc. has continued building fine custom homes in Riverside on the Eno, Eno Forest, Stoneybrook and Northern Way in Durham.
We are also building more custom homes in High Rock Village and Mill Creek in Mebane, N.C. & Old Fields in Haw River N.C.
Ben Thomas has now opened DSM Realty Inc. 2019
